Major Klamath Tree League projects:

The Klamath Tree League was formed in 1996 by a group of Klamath Falls residents interested in seeing improved care of the "urban forest" in Klamath Falls.

The Tree League meets at 12:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Klamath County Museum, 1451 Main Street.

 

 

 


Klamath Community Arboretum at OIT

The Klamath Tree League works in cooperation with Oregon Institute of Technology to manage a two-acre arboretum on the OIT campus.

Outstanding Tree Registry

Many of the largest and finest trees in Klamath Falls have been selected for the community's Outstanding Tree Registry, and are listed in a brochure. To nominate a tree for the registry, download the nomination form, and send it to Klamath Tree League, P.O. Box 1053, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.

Great Klamath Tree Plant II

Launched in 2009 as a celebration of Oregon's 150th anniversary of statehood, the Great Klamath Tree Plant lives on as an effort to enhance the urban forest of Klamath Falls.

Local residents are encouraged to contribute to the Great Klamath Tree Plant.

2010 planting sites:
     - Southside Park.
     - Sesquicentennial Grove on Foothills Boulevard.
     - Boy Scout Service Center in Kit Carson Park.
